Another Earth

Another Earth, 2011 (USA) As you will soon find out, I'm a big fan of Brit Marling and this is the first movie I saw her in. As an actress, she has outstanding screen presence that hooks the audience and as a writer, she’s just as talented. On a night where the world discovers what the government calls: “Earth2”, on a collision course the actual Earth; Rhoda (Marling) gets into a car accident that kills a mother and child. Feeling guilty, she tries to make amends years later with the now depressed widower. As Earth2 gets close enough to see, America plans on exploring the replica planet. This is a thought provoking drama with sci-fi elements, and raises a mind-blowing question: If there is another Earth, is there another you????
