In this hero's journey, a young Japanese boy goes on a magical adventure, fighting monsters and evil family members. Great storytelling and even better visuals make this a must watch. This is the fourth film by the Laika company and definitely their best work, with Coraline a close second. The most impressive thing is the look of the film and how they actually filmed it. Laika is a stop motion company, so the creators reposition figures little by little while taking photos of each movement.
