Locke
Locke 2013 UK/USA Tom Hardy in a car, sounds like a great action movie. Yes it's great but it's not an action movie. In any other case, 90 minutes of a car ride sounds boring but that couldn't be farther from the truth. On the night before the biggest concrete pour in England, Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy) a skyscraper construction foreman. He sits at a light debating on making a left or right turn. That split-second decision to go right changes his life. A one man show, Hardy shows his talent as he deals with personal and work crises in one car ride and many phone conversations. It's just him and the voices on his Bluetooth. Perfectly paced along with plenty of drama, emotion and tension. This will keep your attention as you step into Locke's shoes for a night and wonder what you would do in that situation. The original score by Dickon Hinchliffe fit the movie perfect, especially the song baby, which was the closing song.
