Logan 2017 USA Not only THE BEST comic book movie not directed by Christopher Nolan, but also amazing even if you're not a fan of superheroes. Everybody's favorite X-Man badass finally gets the movie that he deserves. In 2029, mutants are nearly extinct, and a broken down Wolverine must care for an ailing Professor X and bring a young mutant to safety. When watching this action/western/drama, you forget it's a comic book movie, then the claws come out. The action, along with the violence, was fantastic. Director James Mangold broke the mold for comic book movies. They have become predictable and just setting up the next movie in the franchise. There were stakes involved, unlike other comic book movies, where you know no one important is going to die. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are the best they have ever been. Side note - during the opening scene, a guy a few rows behind me made a noise I've never heard before. He got really excited
