The Good, The Bad, The Weird 2008 South Korea Do you like action, adventure, westerns and comedy? In the late 1930's, three men, The Good (Jung Woo-sung) a sharp shooting bounty hunter, The Bad (Lee Byung-hun) a hitman and The Weird (Song Kang-ho) a thief are after the same treasure map. Starting with a train robbery, this movie is action packed from start to finish, including a shootout in village and 20 minute motorcycle vs. horse vs. army chase across the desert. The Weird also provides some comic relief where you think he doesn't know what he's doing, but he has it all planned out. The final standoff at the end had a Tarantino feel to it. (more to come about Tarantino in the next week or so) The cinematography is excellent, using wide, close up and tracking shots. Currently on Netflix Man-gil: The bounty on your head is 300 won. Yoon Tae-goo: What? I'm only worth a piano? Man-gil: A used one at that.
