The Lobster 2015 Greek Nominated for best original screenplay and it is certainly original. Writer/Director Yorgos Lanthimos has a very creative mind. He also did Dogtooth, which is one of my favorites and the first film I reviewed. His movies are like no other, which is a great thing. In the near future, single people have 45 days to find a romantic partner. If they can't , they will be turned into an animal. The good news is that you can pick what animal you want to be. Newly single David (Colin Farrell) goes to a private hotel to find his perfect match. The perfect blend of dark comedy, romance, satire and weirdness makes this a must see. _ Hotel Maid: And the dog? David: This is my brother. He was here a couple of years ago but he didn't make it.
