Split
Split 2017 USA Coming from someone with barely 1 personality, I can say that James McAvoy plays 23 outstandingly well. His performance is very impressive. McAvoy (too many names to list) kidnaps three teenage girls and holds them captive. As McAvoy switches personalities the girls try to figure out how to escape. It's tough to talk about this movie without spoiling it so if you haven't seen it don't continue, even though I know you and the rest of the world need to see what I write. * * * ****************SPOILERS*********** * * * As I was watching I was thinking this is pretty good but nowhere where close to my favorite M. Night Shyamalan movie Unbreakable. Split was a fun, enjoyable thriller but then the beast showed up and I wasn't a fan. I didn't really believe that would happen in this real world setting that was built. I was hoping something else would save then David Dunn (Bruce Willis) showed up and it all made sense. Unbreakable is a great movie and one of the first comic book movies before the craze happened. Being in the same universe totally made sense and I'm excited to see what's next. I'll have to do an Unbreakable review in a few weeks.
